I know it’s been a long time coming, and a tweet is what reminded me that I needed to update my social timeline, so here we are.
Of interest is the lack of new start-ups in social platforms and apps from late 2015 to the present. There were a few that Google and a couple of others tried to get moving, which folded pretty sharpish. Is the lack of new social blood because we, as a consuming public, are creatures of habit? Most importantly to me and my area of research is how that will effect the publishing industry and if they will notice or consider social a more stable place to locate writing? I reckon only time will tell.
